And traditional hardwood trees simply don’t grow fast enough to meet the world’s increasing hunger for timber. Unless another solution is found, the continued deforestation of old growth forests and rainforests is inevitable. Introducing the World’s Fastest Growing Tree At the heart of Tree Your World’s vision is a truly remarkable tree. The Grand Empress Tree matures in just 5-7 years versus the 25-55+ years for traditional hardwood timber. In its lifetime, a single tree planted will produce multiple harvests of mature trees from the same stump. This is possible as once the tree is harvested, it re-grows from the stump and the growing cycle starts all over again. Also the superior quality of its light colored wood has been prized for its strength and resonance quality for centuries throughout Asia. It’s the Reigning Glutton of Carbon Absorbing VegetationThe Grand Empress Tree is one of the richest oxygen producing trees on the planet. With a typical leaf surface diameter of 80 centimeters, the tree absorbs up to 10 times more carbon dioxide than ordinary trees. The Grand Empress Tree – Key Characteristics

The Grand Empress Tree – Origin The Grand Empress Tree has been developed over the last 15 years, using tree cultures and lineal selection propagation from several Japanese varieties of the Paulownia species of trees. The Paulownia trees are native to Asia and have been harvested there for centuries. Although it was first introduced into the United States in the 1800s, to date it remains relatively unknown due to the lack of market development there. Most of the U.S supply today is exported to Japan. It is Tree Your World’s expectation that our sales success will stimulate the market and create a new demand for Grand Empress Tree products. The Tree Your World Mission: To significantly reduce greenhouse gases by creating a profitable alternative to the wasteful excesses of old growth timber mining.
